A basket of flowers for Onam

Marigold seedlings were distributed to women’s groups in Kadannappally-Panapuzha Grama Panchayat as part of the “A Basket of Flowers for Onam” project being implemented under the Kannur District Panchayat Annual Plan 2026–27.
The distribution programme was inaugurated by Mr. T. V. Chandran, President of Kadannappally-Panapuzha Grama Panchayat, who also addressed the gathering.
The function was attended by Mrs. V. A. Komalavalli, Vice President of the Grama Panchayat; Standing Committee Chairpersons P. Narayanan, M. Nisha, and T. V. Mohanan; Mr. T. Shibu Karun, Secretary of the Grama Panchayat; Ms. Deepa K., Agricultural Officer; Grama Panchayat members; and staff members.
The project is aimed at promoting flower cultivation for the Onam season and supporting women’s groups through income-generating agricultural activities.
