Kadannappally Panapuzha Grama Panchayat is a body of elected representatives of the people to carry out the administrative affairs of Panchayat Raj institutions. For a Grama Panchayat, it is the main body that implements the decisions of the Gram Sabha and carries out the day-to-day administration. The main components of the Panchayat are: President: He is the head of the Panchayat. Vice President: Assumes the duties of the President in his absence. Ward Members: Representatives elected from each ward of the Panchayat. Standing Committees: Various committees formed to facilitate the decision-making of the Panchayat, such as finance, development, welfare, health, education, etc.

Spread across the villages of Kadannappally and Panapuzha, the Panchayat covers an area of 53.75 square kilometres.The Panchayat is bordered by Eramam-Kuttoor Grama Panchayat to the north, Chapparapadavu and Pariyaram Grama Panchayats to the east, Cheruthazham Grama Panchayat and Payyanur Municipality to the west, and Cheruthazham Grama Panchayat to the south.Kadannappally-Panapuzha has a diverse topography characterized by rocky uplands, hill slopes, paddy fields, streams, and riverine plains.
