Varṇṇodayam 2030 – Organising Committee Formed

The organising committee formation meeting for the Varṇṇodayam 2030 project, being implemented by the Taliparamba Block Panchayat, at the Kadannappalli-Panappuzha Grama Panchayat level was held under the chairmanship of Grama Panchayat President Shri. T. V. Chandran. The meeting was inaugurated by Smt. Jessie Shiji Vattakattile, President of the Block Panchayat.
The project is being implemented with the objective of making all nine panchayats under the Taliparamba Block Panchayat completely and sustainably waste-free within a specified period. The project is expected to significantly reduce the spread of communicable diseases and ensure a sustainable source of income for Haritha Karma Sena members. By making water bodies free from plastic waste, the project also aims to maintain ecological balance.
Another major objective of the programme is to ensure scientific management of biodegradable waste at the source in both villages of the panchayat, initiate water conservation activities, and create clean drinking-water sources and a healthy population. The programme also aims to create and maintain clean and green public spaces.

Panchayat Vice President Komalavalli, Block Panchayat members Madhu M. P. and Preetha M., Health Standing Committee Chairman Mohan, Assistant Secretary Sajitha K., V. P. Subhash, Ali Kunhi Haji, C. Krishnan, Vimal Kumar, Dr. Balakrishnan, VEO Soumya, Health Inspector Jyothi, and others spoke at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by elected representatives, political party representatives, Kudumbashree members, traders, representatives of the Health Department, MGNREGS personnel, Haritha Karma Sena members, and the general public.
