Chantappura Town Becomes a Green Town

As part of the ‘Project Beacon Town’ campaign being implemented under the leadership of the Kannur District Suchitwa Mission, with the objective of transforming towns across the district into clean and hygienic green towns, various activities are being carried out to transform Chantappura Town in Kadannappalli-Panappuzha Grama Panchayat into a clean town.
As part of these initiatives, a mega cleaning drive was conducted at Chantappura Town. The programme was inaugurated by Grama Panchayat President Shri T. V. Chandran.
Traders in Chantappura, auto-rickshaw workers, Haritha Karma Sena members, MGNREGS workers, volunteers of various organisations, members of the public, Grama Panchayat employees and political representatives participated in the cleaning activities.
Panchayat Secretary T. Shibu Karun, Assistant Secretary Sajitha P. K., Suchitwa Mission Resource Person Sujana M., and Health Inspector Jyothi V. V. also spoke on the occasion.
