Communicable Disease Awareness Campaign Launched

As part of the monsoon preparedness activities, the Kadannappally Panapuzha Grama Panchayat has launched a Communicable Disease Prevention Awareness Campaign.
The Panchayat-level inaugural function, held at Chanthappura, was presided over by Mr. T. V. Mohanan, Chairperson of the Health Standing Committee of the Grama Panchayat, and inaugurated by Mr. T. V. Chandran, President of the Grama Panchayat. In addition to preventing communicable diseases, the campaign also focuses on scientific solid waste management and the control of stray dogs. As part of the campaign, ASHA workers, Kudumbashree members, and Haritha Karma Sena members will visit every household in the Panchayat to distribute awareness notices, collect information on household-level waste management systems, and provide the necessary guidance and recommendations. As part of the stray dog control initiative, residents will also be advised on preventing the careless disposal of food waste from households and on adopting scientific methods for its proper disposal. The inaugural function began with a welcome address by Mr. T. Shibu Karun, Secretary of the Grama Panchayat. Grama Panchayat members P. V. Shaina and C. V. Vinod, Ms. Sujana M., Resource Person, Suchitwa Mission, Ms. Soumya C. H., Village Extension Officer (VEO), and Ms. Jyothi V. V., Health Inspector, also addressed the gathering.
