Pepper Seedlings Distributed to Farmers

As part of the 2026–27 Annual Plan of the Kadannappally-Panapuzha Grama Panchayat, pepper seedlings were distributed to farmers under the Pepper Cultivation Expansion Project. The Panchayat-level inauguration of the distribution was performed by former Panchayat President Mr. K. Padmanabhan. The function was presided over by Grama Panchayat Vice President Mrs. V. A. Komalavalli. Grama Panchayat President Mr. T. V. Chandran, Health and Education Standing Committee Chairperson Mr. T. V. Mohanan, and Secretary Mr. T. Shibu Karun addressed the gathering and extended their greetings. Agricultural Officer Mrs. Deepa K. welcomed the participants, while Assistant Agricultural Officer Ms. Indira N. delivered the vote of thanks. Grama Panchayat members, members of the Agricultural Development Committee, and farmers also attended the programme.
Under the project, each farmer received 20 pepper seedlings of the Panniyur-1 variety. Nearly 10,000 pepper seedlings were distributed across the various wards of the Grama Panchayat, with the aim of promoting pepper cultivation and enhancing farmers' agricultural productivity.
